1. Who are we and what is this about?

This is our Privacy Policy ("PP"), in which we provide you, as a data subject, with the information necessary to enable you to exercise your rights and to ensure that your data is processed transparently.

This Privacy Policy forms the basis on which we process your personal data as described below, including data we collect in connection with your use and interaction with this website or any other online presence managed by us, including our social media accounts and our applications ("apps") (collectively referred to as "website").

  • the status code (e.g. error message),

  • the transmission protocol used (e.g. HTTP/1.1).

This data is collected and processed for the purpose of enabling the use of our website (establishing a connection), ensuring the long-term security and stability of the system, and enabling the optimisation of our website as well as for internal statistical purposes.

In this regard, we are supported by our partners, who are themselves subject to data protection regulations, whom we have carefully selected and contractually obliged accordingly to comply with data protection requirements, in particular also with regard to data security.

2.4. If you open a customer account with us

To use some of our services, you can open an account. To do so, we require personal data from you; otherwise, we cannot open the account for you or provide you with our services.

Creating and subsequently using an account is voluntary. We require your surname, first name, title, organisation and telephone number, as well as your email address. We subsequently process when you were logged in and for how long, your account settings and preferences, your interaction with the website, use of the services, as well as for the creation and management of your customer account, including any related contact.

If you have an account, you are free to enter additional information about yourself in your profile, e.g. your photo, which you can also delete again. We will process this account data until you delete your account and thereafter archive it for as long as we are legally or contractually obliged to do so. Components of the account data that we are not obliged to archive will be anonymised or deleted for statistical analysis purposes.

 2.5. If you purchase our goods or services online

To purchase our goods or services, which are subject to a charge, you or your organisation must enter into a contract with us. To do so, we require data such as surname, first name, title, organisation where applicable, telephone number, email address, delivery address, billing address and payment method. This enables us, on the one hand, to verify the customer relationship with you or your organisation and, where applicable, establish it. On the other hand, this subsequently allows us to provide the services or deliveries of goods requested by you or your organisation for the purpose of contract performance. We will retain all this in accordance with the legal requirements. We reserve the right to inform you after your purchase as an existing customer by email about our offers for goods or services similar to those already purchased, to invite you to events or to ask you to rate us and our service provided you do not object. In addition, we analyse the purchasing behaviour of our existing customers on an individual and segmented basis in order to adapt our offering to the demand thus forecast. Included in this is use for advertising purposes on social media (e.g. for so-called lookalike audience campaigns). If you use your customer account for your purchase, we will assign your transactions to that account.

3. Which technologies from which third-party providers have we embedded?

We use various technologies from (additional) third-party providers on our website, e.g. for analysis, segmentation, marketing, integration of social media, security, media display, CRM integration, etc. These explain in their respective privacy policies which data they process for which purposes, for how long, with whom they share it, which rights you have and how you can exercise them. Where applicable, you may object to this processing, for which purpose we provide you below with the relevant links in these cases. You can also make the corresponding settings in your internet browser yourself that prevent, for example, cookies from being stored on your device or tracking technologies from being used. You can configure and manage these settings in your internet browser depending on the provider under privacy, security or data protection settings.

4. Do we disclose your personal data abroad?

We work with various partners in Switzerland and abroad (see above). In principle, these are located in countries that provide an adequate level of data protection. Should disclosure to certain countries require additional protection, we ensure this by agreeing with such partners on standard data protection clauses approved by the authorities or by relying on the self-certification of such partners under the relevant agreements.

5. What are your rights in relation to us?

You have the right:

  • to request information from us about, rectification or erasure of your personal data;
  • to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data, in particular to object to the processing of your personal data for marketing purposes; and
  • to request that we provide you or a natural or legal person appointed by you with a digital file of your personal data (data portability).

You may withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data for the stated purposes at any time with effect for the future.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent authority (Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner).
